VNA of Middlesex-East & Visiting Nurse Hospice has a dedicated core of volunteers who help us meet the needs of hospice patients and their families by being sensitive listeners, companions, and helpers in practical matters. These dedicated individuals are a very special part of our Hospice service.

Volunteer opportunities are available to help patients in their homes or at our Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. All volunteers receive training that includes instruction on dealing with the physical and emotional aspects of death and dying, ways to provide comfort to patients and their families, and ways to support the Hospice team.
